PML MGC 2011 Member Survey

The Board of Directors of the PML Men's Golf Club conducted a survey of its members from January 15 to March 1, 2011 to solicit feedback on how to improve the operations of the club. From a membership of ~270, they received a very good response -- 122 responses! The Board would like to thank its members for taking the time to give your feedback.

The survey was distributed/conducted via the Internet and consisted of 9 questions. The questions addressed the subjects of overall satisfaction with club services, member participation in MGC events, preferred event formats, member communications (email, website), and suggestions for golf course operations improvements.

If a responder provided his name and phone number, he was entered into a drawing for a free one-year PML MGC membership for 2012. The drawing was conducted at the MGC Board meeting in May 2011 and the winner is Jim Goodrich.

PML MGC 2011 Member Survey Response Highlights

• Q1: More than 90% said they were Very Satisfied or Satisfied with the services provided
• Q3: Member Participation in Events (on average, a total of 20 MGC events per year)
• 45% said they played in 1 - 5 events
• 22% said they played in 6 - 10 events
• 20% said they played in more than 10 events
• Only 15% said they played in Zero events
• Q4: Preferred Event Formats (more than one answer was allowed)
• 70% voted for two-man team scoring events
• 59% voted for individual scoring events
• 55% voted for scramble events
• 51% voted for four-man team scoring events
• ONLY 22% voted for NCGA Qualifier events
• Q5/Q6: Member Communications
• 99% said the email notification service (Constant Contact) is helpful
• 71% said they used the website -- www.pmlmgc.com
• Q7: Course Operations Change: 54% suggested adding marshals to improve speed of play
